I've got something important to share with you, and it's coming straight from the heart. When I first ventured into nutrition coaching, social media selling was a whole new world for me. Let me be honest – it demands serious hustle.
Lately, though, I've hit a bit of a wall. The demands of selling on Instagram have left me feeling burned out and never quite caught up. Selling a program involves a meticulous 6-8 week campaign, with every week's stories, lives, posts, emails, reels, and more carefully planned out and scheduled before the program even starts.
I kicked off the campaign for my January Shift a couple of weeks back, but I reached a point where I just had to hit pause. I found myself dreading spending my Sundays and precious weekday hours glued to Instagram, on top of a full day teaching, mom duties, and everything else required for “adulting”, not to mention trying to have a life. The passion for coaching was getting buried under the weight of selling. So, I made a call – no January Shift this time. Sure, I get it – to have clients, you have to sell. And I will, just not right now.
The holiday season is special to me, and I want to soak it in with my kids, my husband, and our puppy. I want to experience all the joyful moments without the shadow of working 24/7 looming over me. I don't want to look back and regret spending this time glued to social media instead of making memories with my family. I don’t want my kids to ask my why I’m always on my computer.
So, I'm hitting the pause button on the hustle this holiday and putting the jingle back in my jangle. But don't worry – I'm not disappearing. You'll still find me sharing my best nutrition tips and tricks on the Gram, but it'll be organic, unscripted, and genuinely helpful (definitely not what the 20-something social media experts advise 😜).
And hey, if you're interested in diving into my custom macros, workshops, or trying out the DIY Shift, they're always available at www.macroswithmaureen.com.
Here's to a season filled with family, friends, and doing whatever brings you the most happiness!
